VP Of Engineering
An extremely exciting client of ours who is a well-established (yet still at an early stage) Fintech is looking to add an exceptional hands-on VP Of Engineering to their leadership team. They are already generating substantial revenue, and with a recent infusion of substantial investment, they are poised to revolutionise the industry and gain more market share. Based fully remotely around the CET and GMT timezone, their dynamic team meets regularly to foster collaboration and innovation.
This role will be very hands-on and will require you to use your expertise in software development for up to 70% of your day for the next 6 to 9 months whilst the product/team is being developed and advanced. This role will have the opportunity to evolve into a more strategic engineering leadership/CTO role when the team gets bigger product progresses.
- Technology Leadership: Lead and manage the technology team, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and collaboration.
- Strategic Vision: Collaborate closely with the CEO to define and execute the technology roadmap that supports the company’s growth objectives.
- Product Development: Drive the development of cutting-edge fintech-based products and solutions, ensuring they are scalable and align with market demands.
- Team Development: Recruit, mentor, and develop top-tier engineering talent, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Startup Experience: Leverage your past experience in building and scaling startups to navigate challenges and seize opportunities.
- Innovation: Stay at the forefront of emerging technologies, recommending and implementing new technologies and tools to enhance our products and services.
- Budget Management: Oversee the technology department’s budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficient resource allocation.
- Equity Management: Play a significant role in equity allocation and distribution, reflecting your pivotal contribution to the company’s success.
- Proven experience as a Core contributor, CTO, VP of Engineering, or a senior technical leadership role in a fast-growing startup.
- This is a very hands-on role due to the stage of the business. You will need to be an expert software engineer with a specific expertise in financial technology.
- Demonstrated success in developing and scaling innovative technology products.
- Track record of building and leading high-performance engineering teams.
- Exceptional strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
