We’re partnered with Zama, an open-source cryptography company building Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE) solutions for blockchain. Their technology enables smart contracts to compute on encrypted data, unlocking confidential tokens, encrypted DeFi, and privacy-preserving applications.
The challenge:
How do you design intuitive user experiences for data users can’t see?
Encrypted balances
Shielded transactions
Confidential DeFi workflows
Standard UX patterns break down here, and someone needs to define what replaces them.
The Opportunity
This is a true zero-to-one design role. You will report into product leadership and work across Zama’s product suite, including wallet interactions, DeFi workflows, and token systems.
You will take ownership of UX in a category that does not yet have a playbook, translating complex cryptographic processes into intuitive, user-friendly experiences.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Design UX for confidential and encrypted interactions
- Own end-to-end user journeys across wallets, DeFi workflows, and token systems
- Build and scale a design system across multiple products
- Translate product vision into high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes
- Work closely with engineering to ensure designs are delivered as intended
- Maintain an Ai-native design workflow to improve speed and efficiency
What They’re Looking For
- 5+ years in Product or UX Design
- Experience in Web3, DeFi, fintech, or other complex systems
- Strong understanding of wallet UX, transaction flows, and DeFi interfaces
- Proven experience owning design direction at lead or principal level
- High proficiency in Figma, with exposure to Ai-assisted tooling as a plus
- Strong technical intuition and understanding of frontend constraints
- Comfortable working in ambiguous, undefined environments
- Interest in or willingness to learn about FHE and confidential computing
