The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer to architect, implement and maintain the cloud foundation supporting the company’s platform as it scales. You will lead initiatives across DevOps, security, reliability, observability and compliance readiness, ensuring systems are highly available, cost‑efficient and built to enterprise‑grade standards.
This is a hands‑on, high‑ownership role with direct influence over technology direction, platform quality and operational maturity.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect, deploy and maintain cloud infrastructure to support rapid product and customer growth
- Build and own CI/CD pipelines for backend, frontend and data services
- Implement comprehensive observability covering logging, metrics, tracing, alerting and on‑call processes
- Prepare infrastructure for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 readiness
- Drive cloud cost monitoring, reporting and optimisation
- Advocate for operational excellence across engineering and product teams
- Collaborate closely with founders and senior leadership on technical strategy and execution
Requirements
Technical Experience
- Strong expertise with Azure (AWS a bonus)
- Proficiency with Terraform, Kubernetes (AKS) and Docker
- Experience with GitHub Actions or equivalent CI/CD tooling
- Knowledge of secrets management, security scanning and best practice hardening
- Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPCs, DNS, VPNs, load balancers and firewalls
- Experience with production‑grade relational and NoSQL databases, alongside blob storage services
- Strong scripting capability in Python or Bash
Background
- 4–7 years of relevant engineering experience, ideally in high‑growth or high‑load environments
- Proven track record owning infrastructure end-to‑end
- Experience implementing security, reliability and compliance controls
- Demonstrated ability to optimise cloud costs without compromising performance
