About the Firm
We are a crypto-native trading and technology firm specializing in quantitative strategies, automated market making, and DeFi infrastructure. We are founder-owned, bootstrapped, and execute hundreds of millions in weekly trading volume across centralized and decentralized exchanges. Our team draws from top-tier trading firms, web3 ecosystems, and DeFi-native protocols.
Engineering here is small, moves fast, and operates at the intersection of financial risk and operational precision. The tools traders use to manage and operate their strategies have a direct impact on P&L. We are building those tools in-house and hold a high bar on reliability, usability, and correctness.
The Role
You will own the design and build of our Unified Trading UI - a single internal platform that consolidates bot management, dynamic strategy configuration, real-time position and risk monitoring, and PNL visibility across CeFi and DeFi trading activity. Today this is fragmented across multiple interfaces and manual processes. Your job is to replace that with something traders and operators can actually rely on.
This is a full stack role with meaningful work on both ends. The frontend needs to be fast, reactive, and purpose-built for a trading environment where stale data and poor UX have real consequences. The backend API layer needs to be well-structured, reliable, and integrated with the data sources and trading systems that drive the business.
We do not have a dedicated design or UX function. You will define the user experience yourself, working directly with traders to understand their needs and making independent decisions about layout, interaction patterns, and information hierarchy. The bar is operational effectiveness, not visual sophistication - but that judgment call is yours to make.
Responsibilities
• Unified Trading UI. Design and build a consolidated interface for trading operations - bot lifecycle management (start, stop, resume), dynamic strategy configuration, real-time status and alerting, and position and PNL visibility across venues.
• Frontend development. Build a responsive, real-time React/TypeScript frontend that surfaces live data from trading systems, supports safe parameter editing with validation and audit trails, and gives traders clear operational control.
• Backend API. Design and maintain a Python REST API (Django or FastAPI) that serves the frontend, integrates with PostgreSQL for persistent state, uses Redis for caching and real-time data streaming, and manages background tasks via Celery or a comparable task queue.
• Trader parameterization. Replace TOML file-based and command-line bot configuration with a UI-driven dynamic configuration system - with guardrails, validation, and change history so traders can operate safely and engineering can audit what changed and when.
• Reliability and observability. Own the operational health of what you build. The Unified UI is critical path for trading operations - it needs to be stable, well-monitored, and recoverable.
Requirements
• Strong React and TypeScript experience, including real-time data patterns (WebSocket, polling) and state management in a production application.
• Solid Python backend experience with Django or FastAPI, including REST API design, PostgreSQL integration, and production deployment behind nginx.
• Experience with Redis for caching and stream-based data delivery, and a task queue such as Celery for background processing.
• Comfort owning a full stack independently - from database schema to API contract to UI component - without handing off between layers.
• Ability to independently define and execute UX for internal tooling without design support - from wireframe to production - based on direct user research with traders and quants.
• Experience building internal tools or operational dashboards where correctness and reliability matter more than visual polish.
• Strong communication skills. You will work directly with traders and quants to translate operational requirements into software, and you will need to push back constructively when requirements are ambiguous or unsafe.
Nice to Have
• Familiarity with crypto trading concepts - market making, order management, positions, PNL - at the level needed to build useful tooling for traders.
• Experience with Kafka or similar event streaming infrastructure alongside Redis.
• Background building internal tooling in financial services or other high-stakes operational environments.
• Exposure to WebSocket-heavy frontends where data freshness and render performance are critical.
