Build the Data Backbone Powering Real-Time Trading Decisions
We’re hiring a Senior Backend Engineer to architect and scale a unified data platform that directly drives trading, risk, and quantitative strategies in a high-performance crypto trading environment.
This is a systems-first role where your work impacts real-world financial outcomes in real time.
What You’ll Build
You’ll design and own a low-latency, high-throughput data platform that unifies:
- On-chain blockchain data (EVM + Solana ecosystems)
- Centralized exchange (CeFi) trading data
- Real-time trading feeds + historical data systems
Your systems will become the single source of truth for trading, risk, quant, and finance teams.
Tech Stack (Core Focus)
This is a Rust-first engineering team building high-performance systems:
Backend & Systems
- Rust (primary language) – async, concurrency-heavy, systems-level programming
- High-performance microservices architecture
Data & Storage
- PostgreSQL / ClickHouse (large-scale, time-series workloads)
- Data warehouse + snapshotting systems
- Streaming + batch hybrid pipelines
Data Infrastructure
- Event-driven pipelines (streaming + polling architectures)
- Real-time ingestion + historical backfill systems
- Observability + reliability tooling (SLA-focused systems)
Integrations
- Blockchain: EVM chains (via RPC/Alloy), Solana (SVM)
- CeFi APIs: REST + WebSockets (Binance, Bybit, etc.)
What You’ll Do
- Architect and build a unified data ingestion platform across on-chain + off-chain sources
- Design low-latency streaming pipelines for real-time trading systems
- Implement historical backfill + snapshotting mechanisms for full data coverage
- Build resilient API integrations (rate limiting, retries, backpressure handling)
- Define data contracts + schemas used firm-wide
- Own observability, uptime, and data quality SLAs
Must-Have Technical Skills
- Strong production Rust experience (async, concurrent systems)
- Proven experience building high-throughput, low-latency data pipelines
- Deep understanding of:
- Streaming vs. polling architectures
- Distributed systems and failure modes
- Hands-on experience with:
- PostgreSQL or ClickHouse at scale
- Schema design + performance optimisation
- Experience integrating external APIs and event streams
Domain Knowledge (Highly Valued)
- Blockchain data (EVM, Solana, RPC, event parsing)
- Financial systems, trading infrastructure, or crypto
- Designing for data correctness under real financial risk
If you want to:
- Work on mission-critical infrastructure
- Solve complex real-time data challenges
- Build systems where correctness = money
This is that role.
