Senior Backend Engineer (Core Platform) | San Francisco (MTV) | $100,000 – $225,000

I’m currently working with a conversational Ai platform for enterprises, leading the way in enabling employees to engage with and manage enterprise systems using natural language. They are in need of a talented Senior Backend Engineer (Core Platform), with an innovative mindset. This will be an onsite role, with their office being based in San Fran Bay area, they are also open to Toronto.

Role responsibilities:

• Comprehend, create, refine, and demonstrate the effectiveness of crafting user-facing products.
• Establish a roadmap and take charge of advancing various aspects of platform engineering.
• Architect and develop resilient and expandable foundational components for the platform.
• Collaborate with engineering teams internally and externally to deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Question conventional approaches and take accountability for continually enhancing the platform.

Skills required:

• Proficient in designing, constructing, and managing distributed systems for over 2 years
• Skilled in developing and upkeeping Python/GO microservices
• Possess a strong aptitude for product design and collaborative work across different teams
• Well-versed in working with low-latency, high-throughput systems
• Experienced in stream processing platforms like Kafka
• Eager to join a dynamic, ownership-driven team
• Demonstrated ability to convey intricate engineering ideas with brevity and clarity
• Exceptional attention to detail and adept at multitasking
• Open to learning and receptive to providing and receiving feedback

Nice to have:

• Experience with ML products
