We are seeking an experienced Senior AWS Cloud Architect to design and implement a highly available, secure, and fault-tolerant cloud infrastructure on Amazon Web Services.
This role is critical in ensuring system resilience, data integrity, disaster recovery readiness, and enterprise-grade security. You will lead architecture design, guide implementation best practices, and deliver a production-ready cloud environment with strong monitoring, failover, and security controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Design multi-AZ, highly available AWS architectures
- Define and implement backup, replication, and disaster recovery (RTO/RPO)
- Build secure network architecture (WAF, firewall, segmentation, IAM)
- Implement failover strategies and manual DR runbooks
- Set up monitoring, alerting, and logging (CloudWatch, CloudTrail, VPC Flow Logs)
- Deliver infrastructure using IaC (Terraform/CloudFormation)
- Produce architecture docs, security policies, and validation reports
Requirements
- Strong AWS experience (EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, ELB, CloudWatch)
- Proven expertise in high availability, DR, and failover design
- Hands-on with AWS security (WAF, firewall, IAM, least privilege)
- Experience with IaC and automation
- Solid understanding of monitoring, incident response, and reliability
- AWS certifications (Solutions Architect)
- Experience in regulated / high-security environments
- Exposure to PCI DSS or similar frameworks
